Color changing milk
This science experiment is trickier than just the one-colored changing flowers experiment as this requires 2 stems to work! Ask your kids how do they think this will work. Let’s Play Step 2: Trim the ends of your flower stems and place them in the water. If one of your flowers doesn’t seem to be changing color, try trimming the bottom of the stem again and putting it back into the water.
Flower science fair project
We’re doing the coloring changing plants experiment with 4 different plants (carnations, roses, celery, and Chinese cabbage leaves) to see the differences, similarities, and compare the results. Color Changing Plants Experiment In our experiment, the food colouring dissolved in the water is also moved through the plant up the stem and into the leaves through transpiration. When the water evaporates and is removed from the leaf’s stomata, the dye is left behind, resulting in a colour change in the leaves.
