STEM Bridge Challenge is an engaging activity your students will love while learning about bridges. Students research, design, and create bridges going through the Engineering Process. Stem challenge build a bridge Extend the learning by having kids record their creations. We love compiling our creations into a class book of structures made throughout the year. You can even take a quick picture of them to attach to student drawings in the book.
Stem bridge building
You can use any of these popsicle stick bridge designs as a the foundation of a bridge building challenge between kids or groups of kids. Engineering is a team sport in the real world and kids can get real team experience by competing with a team to build their own popsicle bridge design. 16. Building Bridge Bonanza Building straw bridges is a fun way to strengthen kids’ science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills. With just a few simple supplies, they can design a load bearing bridge just like the ones they drive across in cars!

Stem bridge project
Students can work individually or in teams to reflect on and evaluate the bridge building and testing challenge, responding to questions such as: Start with a Simple STEM Activity Like Building ToothPick Bridges You can set out materials or you can let your students brainstorm a list of options. This challenge can be as open ended as you like or you can make the challenge specific. For example, challenge your students to build a bridge from craft sticks that can hold ___ amount of weight (or choose an object that you want the bridge to carry). Let them use glue or tape to assemble the bridge.
